NYPD officers work the scene where a 59-year-old man was killed after being bit multiple times by a dog inside of 608 New Dorp Lane within the confines of the 122 precinct in Staten Island, New York, on January 18, 2026. NYPD police were called at approximately 4:09 PM Sunday afternoon and the discovery was made around that time. Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit work the scene and placed evidence markers at the scene on Sunday, January 18, 2026 where overnight Saturday the 17th a 26-year-old man identified as Elquan Tillman was fatally shot multiple times in the area of Stockton Street within the confines of the 79 precinct in Brooklyn, New York. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
