New York City Police Department officers investigate an overnight shooting that left 30-year-old male Chad Lewars shot multiple times and pronounced dead in Brooklyn, rear of 538 East 84 Street, police officers observed a 30-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police responded to a male shot outside Brothers Mini Market near E 3rd St and Avenue D in the East Village in NYC. The victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital for further treatment. No reported arrests.
One person killed and one person injured in a stabbing inside of a laundromat in Bronx, New York on August 8, 2024. At approximately 2:42 a.m., Thursday morning at 303 Laundromat, two men were stabbed and the suspect fled the scene following the stabbing. A 47-year-old man was stabbed in the back and he is currently in stable condition. An unidentified man was stabbed in his legs and torso and was pronounced dead. No suspects are in custody.
