An NYPD police presence remains in the area where 32-year-old Hamid Thomas was fatally shot and a 40-year-old woman was injured in a shooting at 2680 8th Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan, New York on Monday, July 14, 2025. Monday at approximately 2:37 PM, police responded within the confines of the 32 Precinct, PSA 6 and found a 32-year-old man who was identified as Hamid Thomas with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and the left arm, then discovered a 40-year-old woman with a graze wound to the lower back.
