Brooklyn: 9th Avenue & 46th Street, officers from the @NYPD66Pct responded yesterday to a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found out that a verbal dispute had escalated into violence between two men: a 27-year-old and a 46-year-old. The 27-year-old allegedly slashed the 46-year-old in the mouth and hand. In response, the 46-year-old and several other individuals stabbed the 27-year-old in the right arm.

26-year-old woman identified as Karla Espinal who lives at 165 Elton Street in East New York, Brooklyn was arrested in this incident and charged with Assault 2nd Degree: Recklessly Causing Serious Physical Injury, Act in a Manner Injurious to a Child Less Than 17 and Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree.

Police presence by the NYPD in the area of Elton Street following a scene where a 6-year-old girl was found dead in a residence in East New York, Brooklyn, New York. Upon arrival, officers observed a 6-year-old girl, unconscious and unresponsive inside the location. EMS responded and transported the child to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. The Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death.
