85-year-old man killed by falling tree in Queens during storms
NYPD officers work the scene where an 18-year-old male was fatally shot to the chest and back at a NYCHA complex at 31-07 49th Street within the confines of the 114 precinct, PSA 9 in Queens, New York, USA on Sunday, June 7, 2026. After midnight, officers observed an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest and a gunshot wound to the back. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
