On Saturday morning at approximately 5:11 am, the officer is struck by a vehicle which flees the scene. The police officer is taken by EMS to the hospital in stable condition, and at this time there are no suspects in custody.
A 47-year-old man is fatally struck by a vehicle that flees the area of Broadway and Suydam within the confines of the 83rd precinct in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York, on August 2, 2025. On Saturday morning at approximately 3:44 AM, medics pronounce the 47-year-old man dead at the scene after he is struck by a vehicle that flees the scene. There are no arrests, and the NYPD investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

NYPD police officers maintain a high police presence and guard the scene where a 60-year-old man is found dead after sustaining trauma to the head inside a motel room at the Deegan Motel within the confines of the 50th precinct in Kingsbridge, Bronx, New York, on August 1, 2025.
