Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the vicinity of East 173rd Street and Crotona Park East, Bronx, New York City inside of the playground area. Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
