Male suspect who was wanted for a homicide and was pursued is dead after NYPD officers shot him multiple times and killed him after he pointed a gun at officers in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, December 5, 2024. A man and a woman were shot in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon after police attempted to pull over their vehicle which happened near Park Place and Utica Avenue around 3 p.m. A man who was wanted for a homicide back in March and driving the vehicle was shot and killed by the NYPD and the woman was shot two times in the leg. Both the man and woman who were shot were in a vehicle that police were attempting to pull over. A child that was in the car was not hurt.
36-year-old man killed in the Bronx on East 223 Street in Bronx, New York. NYPD police responded to a 911 call for an assault at 688 East 223 Street in the Bronx. Upon arrival, officers observed a 36-year-old man with gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and transported the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
