46-year-old male riding a bike struck and killed by a 40-year-old man driving a van in Brooklyn, New York on September 1, 2024. At around 11:00 am, Sunday morning on Lynch Street and Union Avenue a 40-year-old male operating a van traveling northbound on Union Avenue struck a 46-year-old male operating a bicycle who was also traveling northbound on Union Avenue. After striking the cyclist, the van struck parked vehicles, EMS took both men to the hospital. The 46-year-old male cyclist was pronounced dead and the driver of the van is in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

37-year-old male shot and killed in Brooklyn, New York on September 1, 2024. At around 8:00 am, Sunday morning in the area of St. John’s Place, a 37-year-old male was shot. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. On the scene, shell casings along with blood and a phone charger were recovered at the scene with evidence markers being placed by police. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
