One person was killed and one person is in critical condition in a shooting outside of the Ryerson Street Migrant Center in Brooklyn, New York on July 21, 2024. At approximately 10:51 p.m., Sunday evening at 29 Ryerson Street, there was a shooting outside of a migrant center and the New York City Police Department responded. Two males suffered gunshot wounds. One of the men were killed and another is fighting for his life and is in critical condition. Police are at the scene, Monday morning investigating the overnight fatal shooting.

Man shot in the head and killed in Bronx, New York on July 21, 2024. At approximately 4:13 p.m., Sunday afternoon, police officers responded to a 911 call for a person shot in the vicinity of 2010 Bruckner Boulevard and when they arrived, police officers located a male victim identified as Jose Baez with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

There was a massive fire response at Manhattan Square due to call stating that a man who was intoxicated set an apartment on fire. Firefighters and police officers quickly responded extinguishing a small fire inside an apartment. No one was injured and no confirmed arrest has been made.
