Monday, July 13th, at approximately 11:56 pm, NYPD officers in the Bronx responded to 4385 Murdock Avenue, within the confines of the 47 Precinct and found 39-year-old Julia Anderson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen. EMS responded and transported Julia Anderson to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where she was pronounced dead.

Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit executed a search warrant at the home of suspect Michael Foster at 18 Bell Avenue in Mount Vernon, New York, United States on July 15, 2026 to collect several pieces of evidence and weapons found inside of the home following the fatal shooting of Julia Anderson earlier in the week. 58-year-old Michael Foster of Mount Vernon, New York was arrested in the murder of Julia Anderson and charged with murder, manslaughter and 10 counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
