One woman and two men shot inside of El Nuevo Tipico Restaurant in the Highland Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Saturday morning at 1:10 AM, three people were wounded in a shooting following a verbal dispute at a restaurant in Highland Park, Brooklyn, New York. An unknown male got into a dispute with a 38-year-old man which escalated into a verbal dispute. The unknown man shot the 38-year-old in the left hand, a 27-year-old woman was shot twice in the left leg, and a 37-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the abdomen. All victims are in stable condition. There are no suspects in custody.

USPS postal worker stabbed to death in a deli while working in Harlem, Manhattan, New York, inside of 168 Lenox Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a 36-year-old man victim identified as Ray Hodges with multiple stab wounds about the body. EMS responded and transported the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead. 24-year-old Jaia Cruz, a female was arrested and charged in the case. Crime scene investigators spent several hours on scene and at the police station where Jaia Cruz was arrested.
