A 16-year-old girl identified as Evette Jeffrey was fatally shot to the head in the Morrisania section of Bronx, New York, on Monday, May 12, 2025. Monday evening at approximately 5:05 PM, police officers responded to Home Street and Tinton Avenue where they found Evette Jeffrey, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded to the location and transported her to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where she was pronounced dead.
