NYPD tells me that the victim who sustained a gunshot wound to the head is a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The 16-year-old girl is critical and the 17-year-old girl is stable. There are no arrests at this time.

Saturday evening at approximately 8:35 PM, police responded to a 911 call for a woman stabbed inside of 667 East 232 Street, Bronx, New York within the confines of the 47 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old woman with a stab wound to the chest and right arm. EMS responded and transported the victim to Montefiore hospital, where she was pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.

FDNY responded to a fatal 2-alarm fire at 65 Jesup Place in the Bronx. One person died. Seven other civilians were treated for injuries as well as four Firefighters. Units arrived to vehicles parked on a fire hydrant. While this did not delay getting water on the fire, the FDNY reminds New Yorkers that blocking a fire hydrant in NYC is ILLEGAL. The vehicle was towed and will be criminally summonsed which is punishable by up to a $5,000 fine.
