1 year agoTwo people died in the crash, they were both with Mercy Flight and on a training flight. They had taken off from the Batavia airport and it appears the helicopter hit some power lines on the way down.
1 year agoState police say two people died when a Mercy Flight helicopter on a training flight crash in Elba, not far from the Batavia Airport. NTSB and FAA will help local authorities investigate.

1 year agoThere's a large brush fire off Sam's Point Rd in Cragsmoor, NY. This area, generally known as the Shawangunk Mtns, has seen a number of large fires, most recently in April of 2016, almost 6 years to the day. It burned over 2,000 acres. Unknown acreage on this one so far
